I’ve had an analogy running through my mind as I watch the changes in our real estate market. Change is hard, but with change comes opportunity.

SETTING SAIL

The Sellers stand on the shore. The wind blows. The tide rolls in. As the tide recedes, the Sellers watch the ships sail away.

From their view on the dock, it seems that they are being left behind—that they’ve literally “missed the boat.” But a closer look at the scene reveals something else entirely.

The tide flows back in and ignites a renewed sense of opportunity. Looking closely, the Sellers see that ships are still leaving the dock! Perhaps the ships are leaving less frequently and with a little less fanfare, but boats continue to set sail!
