Independence Day, celebrated on July 4th, marks a significant moment in American history, a day when we come together to honor the birth of our nation. This year, Sedona, Clarkdale, and Cottonwood have a variety of exciting events lined up to make your Fourth of July memorable. I can't wait to tell you about them!


Fourth of July in Sedona


Sedona Community Pool Party


When: July 4, Noon - 4 p.m.

Where: Sedona Community Pool, 570 Posse Grounds Road

Cost: Free


Join us for a family-friendly pool party featuring:

  • Music by DJ Frsh

  • Food and treats for sale

  • Wet zone and games

  • Dunk tank

  • Free hourly raffle with prizes

  • Inflatable games and water slides

  • Pie-eating contests at 1, 2, and 3 p.m.


Sedona Elks Lodge BBQ


A fourth of July BBQ

When: July 4, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: Sedona Elks Lodge, 110 Airport Road

Cost: $20 per plate


Enjoy a delicious barbecue with hamburgers, hotdogs, or bratwurst, along with side items. Relix, a local band, will be performing classic rock tunes, providing plenty of room to dance.


Clarkdale


Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration


When: July 4, 7 - 11 a.m.

Where: Clarkdale Town Park, 1001 Main Street

Cost: Free


Start your day with Clarkdale’s annual celebration featuring:

  • Kids’ Parade at 9 a.m. from Clarkdale-Jerome School to Town Park

  • Registration for the parade begins at 8:15 a.m.

  • Cash prizes and ribbons for the best-decorated bicycles and wagons

  • Family-friendly activities and community fun


Cottonwood


Fantastic Family Fourth of July


When: July 4, 4 - 9:30 p.m.

Where: Cottonwood Kids Park, 350 S. 12th Street

Cost: $10 entrance fee, $1 parking


Enjoy Cottonwood’s largest Fourth of July event with:

  • Fireworks display at dusk

  • Free food from 4 - 6 p.m. (hot dogs, watermelon, soft drinks)

  • Additional food truck options including ice cream, snacks, and Mexican cuisine

  • Bounce house, water slide, and more with a $10 wristband


Stay Safe and Enjoy the Festivities!


The weather in the Sedona area is predicted to be HOT, so make sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and hats to stay hydrated and protected while enjoying the celebrations.
